What is Passport Calling Card?
Passport Calling Card is a prepaid calling card that you can use when travelling abroad. This calling card can be used from USA, Canada, UK, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Poland to make calls to India & over 200 countries across the globe at upto 90% cheaper rates.
Passport Calling Card is available in denominations of Rs. 500, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 1500 and can be purchased online as well as from our retail outlets. The calling card can be used from local landlines, mobile and payphones of the visiting countries.
Can I use Passport Calling Card in India to make local and international calls?
No, this card cannot be used in India to make domestic and international calls.
Can I use Passport Calling Card to make local calls in the country of travel?

How can I purchase this card?

1. Log on to www.reliancepassport.com >> Where to Buy >> Online Purchase.
2. Select the calling card voucher denomination.
3. Fill in the required details and confirm.
4. On successful confirmation, select the option for required documents and upload, email or fax a copy of the document as per given instructions for personal identity verification.
5. Post agreement to the Terms & Conditions, click “Pay”.
6. Enter payment details and submit.
7. On successful transaction, you shall receive your payment acknowledgement with transaction ID or receipt no.
8. Post verification of your documents, your voucher number, PIN and User Guide will be emailed to you at the registered email ID within 24 hours.

We accept (Indian) Master / Visa and Amex credit card only.

I do not belong to Indian nationality. Am I eligible to purchase this card?
Yes, but you will also have to submit a copy of your Passport.
What document do I need to submit when purchasing Passport Calling Card?
As per DOT guidelines, you will need to submit a copy of your Passport (photograph, name & address pages), PAN card and driving license.
People belonging to nationalities other than Indian will need to submit their Passport (photograph, name & address pages).
I have purchase the card online, however I have not received PIN, What do I do?
How do I make calls using Passport Calling Card?
To use your Passport Calling Card:
- Get your PIN by:
- Scratching the card or
- From the email sent at the time of purchase (if purchased online)
- Dial the access number for the country as specified in the user guide and follow the voice instruction.
- When prompted, please enter the PIN and follow the voice instruction.
- When prompted, enter the destination number starting with country code. i.e. country code + city code + destination number.
Example to call India dial 91 22 39152600.
- For calling both landline and mobile, there is no need to dial any international prefix.
How can I access the Voice Portal?
To access the voice portal:
- Get your PIN by:
- Scratching the card or
- From the email sent at the time of purchase (if purchased online)
- Dial the access number for the country as specified in the user guide and follow the voice instruction.
- When prompted, please enter the PIN and follow the voice instruction.
- When prompted, please enter 04321 instead of dialling destination number.
Can I use this card for Internet access?
No, this card cannot be used to access the Internet.

Please note you can use this card to make local calls only within USA. Also, only India calling is available from UAE.
Are there different cards for different countries?
No. There is only one card which can be used in different countries where Passport Calling Card service is available.

How much do I pay to purchase this card?
Passport Calling Card is available only with prepaid service plan in – INR 500, INR 1000 & INR 1500 – inclusive of all taxes. You cannot recharge the card once entire balance is utilised.
What are the modes of payment to purchase this card?
Passport Calling Card can be purchased in cash or by credit/debit card, DD or pay order or online through (Indian) Master/Visa and Amex credit card only.
What are the call charges for calling India or any other country?
Do I have to pay any surcharge?
Surcharge may be imposed for calls placed from the following locations:
- Public payphone,
- Hotel/hospital phone,
- College dormitory or apartment,
- Residence without a long distance provider, or a residence with calling restrictions,
- Other commercial phone systems.

How much tax do you charge?
Presently we do not charge any tax to you so you get full talktime on the purchase amount.

In case the Passport Calling Card is damaged or PIN stolen then how do I report it?
To avoid such a situation arisen, we request you to check the tampering on the scratch area and outer wrapping before purchase.
For Calling Cards bought online, refer to the email sent by us post purchase of the calling card to the specified email ID for your PIN.

What is the validity period for the card?
The validity period of Passport Calling Cards is mentioned on the back of the card. Cards purchased online are valid for 365 days from the date of approval.
Can I recharge this card?
No, you cannot recharge this card.
Do you charge for calling customer care numbers?
No. You are not charged for calling our customer care toll free number. However, some payphones would levy a nominal charge for accessing the customer care toll free number.
Also, you will be charged by your service provider to access toll access number depending on your monthly tariff plan and resultant local/domestic long distance access rate. We request you to check for the charges with your service provider.
Also, if you use a cellular phone to dial one of our access numbers, we are not responsible for any additional charges your cellular service provider may levy on your account for using the service on your cellular phone.
When I am on call, will the call get disconnected the moment my balance is over?
Yes. Your call will get disconnected automatically; once the entire balance against your card is utilised. You get the available talktime announcement before your call is connected to the destination number so you can plan your call accordingly.
I am unable to recollect my PIN number. Can I get my PIN number from the customer care?
No. PIN is highly sensitive data that can be accessed only by the customer. For security reasons PIN details cannot be provided through customer care.
I am unable to connect to any destination number using my Passport Calling Card. What should I do?
If you are unable to connect to any destination number using the calling card, check the following:
- Validity of your card.
- Balance available in your account. Minimum balance should be equivalent to a minute call.
- Toll free/toll access number you are dialling.
- Dialling pattern and the number sequence entered by you.
- The destination number may be busy or temporarily disconnected or the network of the destination number may be congested. In this case please try again later.

I still have some amount left in my account but cannot use this amount for initiating a call due to insufficient balance. Can I get this amount back?
No, the balance amount in your account is non refundable. To avoid such situation we request you to utilise the entire amount against your last call.
I am unable to connect to the access number. What should I do?
We have provisioned for adequate capacity in our infrastructure to ensure that you do not face such bottlenecks. However, if the networks of our carrier partners are congested due to high traffic, we request you to try again later.
Are these calls VOIP calls?
These calls are not VOIP calls. These cards are TDM (Time Division Multiplexed) calls over a switched network. In this case the calls originate from a normal telephone rather than from an internet connected phone and travel over a fixed path to reach the destination number called. Thus you enjoy crystal clear voice quality and an uninterrupted service with minimal time delay.
Can I use this service from any phone?
Yes. You can use this service for making international calls over 200 countries across the globe from any phone - a landline, a payphone or a cellular phone by dialling the toll-free number, as specified in the user guide.
What are the chances of someone else misusing my card?
Passport Calling Card uses state-of-the-art technology that ensures there is no duplication of any card number for a possible misuse. We request you to not share your PIN details with anyone to avoid any misuse.
I believe that I have been wrongly charged for the call that I have made. What should I do?
I have not made any calls yet my balance has got reduced. What should I do?
