Will my Passport International SIM be activated while I am in India?
No, because as per the policy of Department of Telecommunication, Govt. of India, all SIMs that are provided rental for usage in foreign countries cannot be activated in India. It can be activated only when you reach the destination country.
Will I be charged any rental for the SIM/ handset provided to me?
Yes, there is a nominal rental charge applicable for the SIM / handset provided. Handset is provided only for Passport International SIM for USA.

Is Passport International SIM available in postpaid or prepaid?
Passport International SIM for USA, China & Malaysia is available as a postpaid connection and Passport International SIM for 110 countries is available as a prepaid connection.
What is the validity period for the Passport International SIM?
Passport International SIM will remain activated according to the travel dates mentioned in the CAF (Customer Application Form). If you extend your travel and want the SIM for a longer period, contact customer care and also send a request mail to us at customercare@reliancepassport.com.

Do I need to pay deposit for Passport International SIM?
No there is no deposit for Passport International SIM; we do take an authorisation on your credit card.
An authorisation automatically gets released within 21 days of blocking.
How many countries can I call/text using the Passport International SIM?
You can call/ text over 200 countries using the Passport International SIM.

What documents do I need to submit if I wish to buy a Passport International SIM?
In order to buy a Passport International SIM, you will be required to submit the following documents:
  • A self attested copy of your Passport/ PAN Card.
  • Last credit card bill / bank statement/ last BSNL/ MTNL bill / electricity bill / latest postpaid Airtel / Hutch / Idea / Reliance bill copy for current address proof.
  • Photocopy of credit card duly signed for credit limit assessment and billing.

In case of corporate customers, memorandum of association, letter from admin with company seal is required.

What is the procedure for acquiring my Passport International SIM?
  • Get in touch with your nearest distributor/ call our Customer Care/ contact our Sales Executive.
  • Furnish our CAF (Customer Agreement Form) along with submitting the required mandatory documents as per DoT/ TRAI guidelines.
  • Post submission of CAF, you will receive a welcome call from our customer care.
  • A proper check will follow to ensure that the SIM gets delivered at the provided address.
  • SIM is dispatched to you by our nearest distributor available in your locality, within three to four working days from submission of CAF and documents.
  • Your SIM gets activated only post you land in your country of destination.
What do I do if my Passport International SIM is stolen or lost?

Please our Customer Care immediately and request to block your Passport International SIM.

International Calling Cards
What is Passport Calling Card?
Passport Calling Card is a prepaid calling card that you can use when travelling abroad. This calling card can be used from USA, Canada, UK, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Poland to make calls to India & over 200 countries across the globe at upto 90% cheaper rates.

Passport Calling Card is available in denominations of Rs. 500, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 1500 and can be purchased online as well as from our retail outlets. The calling card can be used from local landlines, mobile and payphones of the visiting countries.

Can I use Passport Calling Card in India to make local and international calls?
No, this card cannot be used in India to make domestic and international calls.
Can I use Passport Calling Card to make local calls in the country of travel?
Currently, local calling facility is available in USA only. To know the rates for making local calls in USA, click here.
How can I purchase this card?

You can also buy Passport Calling Card online:
1. Log on to www.reliancepassport.com >> Where to Buy >> Online Purchase.
2. Select the calling card voucher denomination.
3. Fill in the required details and confirm.
4. On successful confirmation, select the option for required documents and upload, email or fax a copy of the document as per given instructions for personal identity verification.
5. Post agreement to the Terms & Conditions, click “Pay”.
6. Enter payment details and submit.
7. On successful transaction, you shall receive your payment acknowledgement with transaction ID or receipt no.
8. Post verification of your documents, your voucher number, PIN and User Guide will be emailed to you at the registered email ID within 24 hours.

Note:

We accept (Indian) Master / Visa and Amex credit card only.

  • Verification process requires 12 working hours.

Yes, but you will also have to submit a copy of your Passport.
What document do I need to submit when purchasing Passport Calling Card?
As per DOT guidelines, you will need to submit a copy of your Passport (photograph, name & address pages), PAN card and driving license.

People belonging to nationalities other than Indian will need to submit their Passport (photograph, name & address pages).

I have purchase the card online, however I have not received PIN, What do I do?
In case you have not received the PIN, kindly contact our 24X7 customer care at customercare@reliancepassport.com or by phone to resend the PIN on your registered email id. To know the customer care numbers click here.
How do I make calls using Passport Calling Card?
To use your Passport Calling Card:
  1. Get your PIN by:
    1. Scratching the card or
    2. From the email sent at the time of purchase (if purchased online)
  2. Dial the access number for the country as specified in the user guide and follow the voice instruction.
  3. When prompted, please enter the PIN and follow the voice instruction.
  4. When prompted, enter the destination number starting with country code. i.e. country code + city code + destination number.
    Example to call India dial 91 22 39152600.
  5. For calling both landline and mobile, there is no need to dial any international prefix.
How can I access the Voice Portal?
To access the voice portal:
  1. Get your PIN by:
    1. Scratching the card or
    2. From the email sent at the time of purchase (if purchased online)
  2. Dial the access number for the country as specified in the user guide and follow the voice instruction.
  3. When prompted, please enter the PIN and follow the voice instruction.
  4. When prompted, please enter 04321 instead of dialling destination number.
Can I use this card for Internet access?
No, this card cannot be used to access the Internet.

Please note you can use this card to make local calls only within USA. Also, only India calling is available from UAE.

Are there different cards for different countries?
No. There is only one card which can be used in different countries where Passport Calling Card service is available.

How much do I pay to purchase this card?
Passport Calling Card is available only with prepaid service plan in – INR 500, INR 1000 & INR 1500 – inclusive of all taxes.  You cannot recharge the card once entire balance is utilised.
What are the modes of payment to purchase this card?
Passport Calling Card can be purchased in cash or by credit/debit card, DD or pay order or online through (Indian) Master/Visa and Amex credit card only.
What are the call charges for calling India or any other country?

Do I have to pay any surcharge?
Surcharge may be imposed for calls placed from the following locations:

  • Public payphone,
  • Hotel/hospital phone,
  • College dormitory or apartment,
  • Residence without a long distance provider, or a residence with calling restrictions,
  • Other commercial phone systems.

How much tax do you charge?
Presently we do not charge any tax to you so you get full talktime on the purchase amount.

In case the Passport Calling Card is damaged or PIN stolen then how do I report it?
To avoid such a situation arisen, we request you to check the tampering on the scratch area and outer wrapping before purchase.

For Calling Cards bought online, refer to the email sent by us post purchase of the calling card to the specified email ID for your PIN.

What is the validity period for the card?
The validity period of Passport Calling Cards is mentioned on the back of the card. Cards purchased online are valid for 365 days from the date of approval.
Can I recharge this card?
No, you cannot recharge this card.
Do you charge for calling customer care numbers?
No. You are not charged for calling our customer care toll free number. However, some payphones would levy a nominal charge for accessing the customer care toll free number.

Also, you will be charged by your service provider to access toll access number depending on your monthly tariff plan and resultant local/domestic long distance access rate. We request you to check for the charges with your service provider.

Also, if you use a cellular phone to dial one of our access numbers, we are not responsible for any additional charges your cellular service provider may levy on your account for using the service on your cellular phone.

When I am on call, will the call get disconnected the moment my balance is over?
Yes. Your call will get disconnected automatically; once the entire balance against your card is utilised. You get the available talktime announcement before your call is connected to the destination number so you can plan your call accordingly.
I am unable to recollect my PIN number. Can I get my PIN number from the customer care?
No. PIN is highly sensitive data that can be accessed only by the customer. For security reasons PIN details cannot be provided through customer care.
I am unable to connect to any destination number using my Passport Calling Card. What should I do?

If you are unable to connect to any destination number using the calling card, check the following:

  • Validity of your card.
  • Balance available in your account. Minimum balance should be equivalent to a minute call.
  • Toll free/toll access number you are dialling.
  • Dialling pattern and the number sequence entered by you.
  • The destination number may be busy or temporarily disconnected or the network of the destination number may be congested. In this case please try again later.

I still have some amount left in my account but cannot use this amount for initiating a call due to insufficient balance. Can I get this amount back?
No, the balance amount in your account is non refundable. To avoid such situation we request you to utilise the entire amount against your last call.
I am unable to connect to the access number. What should I do?
We have provisioned for adequate capacity in our infrastructure to ensure that you do not face such bottlenecks. However, if the networks of our carrier partners are congested due to high traffic, we request you to try again later.
Are these calls VOIP calls?
These calls are not VOIP calls. These cards are TDM (Time Division Multiplexed) calls over a switched network. In this case the calls originate from a normal telephone rather than from an internet connected phone and travel over a fixed path to reach the destination number called. Thus you enjoy crystal clear voice quality and an uninterrupted service with minimal time delay.
Can I use this service from any phone?
Yes. You can use this service for making international calls over 200 countries across the globe from any phone - a landline, a payphone or a cellular phone by dialling the toll-free number, as specified in the user guide. 
What are the chances of someone else misusing my card?
Passport Calling Card uses state-of-the-art technology that ensures there is no duplication of any card number for a possible misuse. We request you to not share your PIN details with anyone to avoid any misuse.
I believe that I have been wrongly charged for the call that I have made. What should I do?
If you believe that there has been incorrect charge, contact our customer care  at customercare@reliancepassport.com or call us within 30 days. To know the customer care numbers, click here.
I have not made any calls yet my balance has got reduced. What should I do?

What is Internet Telephony?
Internet Telephony is a service that refers to communication services over the Internet; also referred to as Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP). You can have voice communication between PCs or between a PC and a regular telephone.
What is Reliance iCall service?
Reliance iCall is a VoIP based service for easy voice calls across the world using your internet connection, PC or a regular telephone. You also get immediate access to value added services like instant messaging, audio conferencing and other multimedia features.
What are the benefits for using Internet Telephony service?
Free voice usage, low call rates and a host of features.
Do you charge for this service?
PC to PC calls are absolutely free of cost, and you can make PC to telephone/mobile calls at drastically low rates using a prepaid connection.  
How can I start using the Reliance iCall service?

1. Visit relianceicall.com and click on ‘sign up’ to register.
2. Enter your email address for authentication.
3. Select the country where you wish to use this service from.
4. No payment details required if you choose the PC to PC service
5. For prepaid connections for PC to telephone calls:

  • Provide valid Master or Visa credit/debit card details for payment..
  • Enter the confirmation code and submit.

6. You will receive a mail with a link in your registered email address inbox.
7. You can access this link for activating your new iCall account and start making calls immediately.

I am a Reliance Global Call customer, how can I avail the Reliance iCall service?
  • Visit the Reliance iCall link available on the Reliance Global Call website and click on ‘sign up’ to register.
  • Enter your email address and other details for authentication.
  • Select the country you wish to use this service from.
  • No payment details required if you choose the PC to PC service.
  • For prepaid connections for PC to telephone calls, provide valid Master or Visa credit/debit card details.
  • If you are a Reliance Global Call customer with a prepaid account, then the charges against the Reliance iCall service would get deducted from your Reliance Global Call account balance.
  • If you are a Reliance Global Call customer with a Pay-After-Use account then you will have to pay for the Reliance iCall service.
  • Enter the confirmation code and click submit.
  • You will receive a mail with a link in your registered email address inbox.
  • You can access this link for activating your new iCall account and start making calls immediately.
What are the call rates?

Is there any incoming local number to use this service?
There is no specific incoming local number for this service but if you opt for PSTN (Public Swtiched Telephone Network) to PC or All Service Plan, then you will have to rent an incoming local number against the country which you choose (currently available in US & UK only) from the drop down list or from where you wish to use the Reliance iCall service.
How can I get this Incoming Local number?
  • Incoming local number is only for PSTN to PC user.        
  • To get incoming local number: Visit our relianceicall.com and register yourself.
  • Provide the required details.
  • You will receive a link on your registered e-mail id .To activate your account access that link.
  • You are now our registered Reliance iCall customer.
  • To select your plan, you will be directed to Select Plan Page.
  • If you had selected our PSTN to PC service or All service plan, you will get the option for selecting incoming local number.
  • Select the incoming local number type & incoming local number.
In which countries is this service available?

Will I notice any difference in call quality compared to normal telephone calls?

How do I place a call in this service?
  • PC to PC
    • For free calls, add a buddy in your contact list and then right click on the selected buddy and choose the option to dial.
  • PC to phone
    • Enter the desired calling number in the dial pad and click ‘dial’.
    • You will hear the ringtone once the call gets initiated.
  • Phone to PC
    • You will need an incoming local number for making calls from a phone to a PC. There is a monthly charge for the same.
    • Incoming calls can be received on your PC only when you have signed in.

I am a Reliance Global Call prepaid customer and have an auto-generated access number; will I be able to use this service?
Yes. You will be able to use this service.
How do I select the access number for phone to PC service?
While registering for this service you get two options – premium or auto-generated number.
You get to choose your access number from the drop down list if you select the premium number option. Your access number is auto generated and displayed if you select the auto generate option. You’ll get all this information by an email on your registered email address.
What are the system requirements for Reliance iCall?

The system requirements for using Reliance iCall are:

  1. Windows 2000, XP or Vista (we do not support Windows 95/98/Me, Linux and Macintosh systems)
  2. Pentium-class processor (1.0GHz or higher)
  3. Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or later)
  4. At least 256 MB RAM
  5. A microphone, sound card, and speakers
  6. A non-proxy connection to the Internet
  7. A broadband Internet connection is recommended, though not necessary
