    Voice Mail

    Your personal answering machine

    • Reliance Mobile’s Voicemail service (VMS) is your personal answering machine that will record messages whenever you are not reachable.
    • The service can be activated to record messages in the following situations:
    • When you are not reachable (e.g. out of coverage area or phone not switched on) or an incoming call is not answered
    • When you are busy on another call alternatively, you divert all incoming calls automatically to the voicemail (not recommendable)
    • To activate VMS service dial *410.

This facility is not available for Reliance GSM customers

You can activate Reliance Mobile’s Voicemail to record messages:

    • When you are not reachable.
    • When you are busy on another call.
    • If you divert all incoming calls automatically to the voicemail (not recommended).

    Features

    • Your voicemail box can hold up to five messages.
    • You will be alerted of new voicemail messages by SMS.
    • Unchecked messages will be stored for four days.
    • After listening to a message, you can save it for two days.
    How to use (CDMA)

    With your Reliance Mobile handset

    • In your home circle, you can retrieve messages by calling *600.
    • On reaching the voicemail system, enter your password. The default password for all customers is 1234, which can be changed to any other 4-digit code.

    With any other phone

    • Dial 3033 3600 from any circle where Reliance has coverage.
    • In an area with no Reliance coverage, you can retrieve messages by dialling 3033 3600 preceded by the STD code of any location with Reliance coverage. You can save money by choosing the closest such location.
    • On reaching the voicemail system, enter the complete city STD code followed by your Reliance Mobile number and then press # (hash). (For example, 022 3123 4567#).
    • Enter your password.

    Call Waiting
    Don’t miss any call

You don’t want to miss important calls while you are on another call. Call Waiting enables you to receive a second call even while you are speaking on a first one.

    How it works

    • While you are talking on your first call, you will hear a beep, and the mobile number of the calling party will be displayed, indicating that a second incoming call is on waiting.
    • In the meanwhile, the (second) caller will get an announcement for 30 seconds: "The Reliance customer you are trying to contact is busy on another call. Please stay online."

While the second call is waiting, you can

    • Put the first call on hold and accept the incoming call.
    • Hang up the first call and accept the incoming call.
    • Reject the incoming call.
    • Ignore the incoming call.
    • If you have activated voicemail and set the condition for diverts, the incoming call will be diverted to the voicemail box.
    • Otherwise the incoming call will be disconnected after 30 seconds.

If Call Waiting has not been activated, the caller will receive a busy tone.

    Call Hold
    Do more with your phone
Often, you need to call someone else in the middle of a call and then get back without disconnecting. With the Call Hold function on Reliance Mobile, you can do precisely that.

Put your call on hold and perform any of the following functions from your handset:

    • Make a second call.
    • Receive a second call, which is waiting.
    • Switch between calls.
    • Check or send a text message.
    • Check your voicemail.
    • Use any other feature of the phone.

    How to use (CDMA)

    • A call can be put on hold by pressing the call key. To resume the call, press the call key again.
    • The person on hold will be asked to stay online. S/he will hear beep tones periodically.

Activate or deactivate at your will

    • To deactivate Call Hold, press *312 +  call key. Once deactivated, incoming calls received while talking will be ignored, and the caller will hear a busy tone.
    • To reactivate Call Hold, press *311 + call key.
    • To deactivate for only a particular call, dial *313 followed by the calling person’s number.
