Now Reliance GSM & 3G International Roaming gives you the facility to stay connected with your friends across the world while Roaming abroad.

Roam across the world on GSM & 3G:

With Reliance International Roaming, you can roam across more than139 countries across the world.

You can now:

  • Stay connected with your loved ones on a single number the world over.
  • Make and receive calls and SMS and even use GPRS & 3G Services while you roam.
  • Receive a single consolidated bill for International and domestic usage in Indian Rupees.

How can you subscribe:

To subscribe for World Roaming, please visit the nearest Web world / Web world Express and submit the subscription form duly filled in along with the security deposit.

Activation of International Roaming on GSM & 3G handset:

  • To use International Roaming facility you need to have International Long Distance service (ISD service) activated on your phone.
  • Register for the International Roaming service at any Web World or Web World Express by filling a World Roaming subscription form along with the eligible security deposit.

Using GSM & 3G phones while Roaming

  • Step 1: Switch off and then switch on the GSM handset.
  • Step 2: Go to Menu>R Menu>”Roam”. Select Option “Roam” while you roam abroad. Handset will automatically register on the available network
  • Step 3: In case the handset does not register, kindly select the network manually.
  • In case of any issues, please call us @ +91 22 30333535. This call will attract International long distance charges when dialed from abroad. You can email us @Customercare.IR@relianceada.com with your queries.
  • In case your handset is lost while Roaming, please inform us immediately.
  • Please select Menu>R Menu>”Home” option while in India.

For example, if you are calling from USA

  • To call a landline number in New Jersey, please dial “+ 908 New Jersey phone number”
  • To call a mobile in New Jersey dial: “+ New Jersey Mobile Number”
  • To call a fixed line number in Mumbai please dial “+ 91 22 your home phone number”
  • To call mobile in Mumbai dial: “+ 91 93xxxxxxxx”

Handset suitability for GSM & 3G partner networks

For Roaming on GSM & 3G partner networks, you need to insert the your Reliance GSM & 3G SIM in a suitable GSM & 3G handset:-

  • For accessing 900/1800 MHz networks, you need to use a dual band GSM handset.
  • For accessing 1900 MHz networks, you need to use a Tri-band handset.
  • For accessing 850 MHz networks, you need to use a Quad band handset.
  • For accessing satellite networks you need to use Satellite mobile e.g. Ericsson R190 handset.
  • For accessing 3G services, you need to use a 3G handset.

Activation of International Roaming on 3G Dongle & Other Data Devices (Tablets, iPAD etc)

  • To use International Roaming facility you need to register for the International Roaming service at any Web World or Web World Express. Standard security deposit will be charged.
Using 3G Dongle while Roaming:
  • Step 1: Insert the SIM in any GSM handset & switch it on.
  • Step 2: Go to Menu>R Menu>”Roam”. Select Option “Roam”. Handset will automatically register on the available network
  • Step 3: After selecting Roam. Please switch of the Handset and insert the SIM into the 3G Dongle.
Other 3G Data Devices while Roaming (Tablets, iPAD etc)
  • Step 1: Insert the SIM in the data device & switch it on.
  • Step 2: Go to Menu>R Menu>”Roam”. Select Option “Roam. This particular feature will be available in Settings under SIM application.
Note: On returning to India, just switch off and switch on your Device. Select Home option and use it like before.

To reach us while you roam

In case you need to contact us while you are abroad, you can call our 24 hour customer care on “91 22 30333535”.This number is toll free when called from India.. This call will attract International Long distance charges when dialed from abroad. You can also e-mail us at Customercare.IR@relianceada.com with your queries.
In case your handset or World Roaming SIM is lost while Roaming, please inform us immediately.

Before you leave India

  • Ensure that International Roaming and international long distance facility is activated on your phone.
  • Deactivate call forwards on your handset.
  • Ensure that you Select “Roam” option on your phone while you are Roaming abroad.
  • Ensure that your frequently-used numbers are stored in your phone book in the international dialing pattern.
  • Carry a suitable GSM & 3G handset for Roaming on GSM & 3G partner networks.
  • Carry phone charger, travel adapter and extended batteries along with you.

Deactivation of World Roaming Service

If you wish to use World Roaming in future, we recommend you to keep the International Roaming Service activated. For disconnection, visit any of our Reliance shops or Reliance Communication outlets. The security deposit collected against International Roaming service will be credited back to your account on permanent disconnection of the service.

Even if your International Roaming service is disconnected, you may reactivate the service when you visit abroad again.

Note:

1. On returning to India, just switch off and switch on your GSM & 3G handset Select Home option and use it like before.
2. The incoming caller number will be passed on to the customer subject to availability of the same from the other service provider
