    With Twitter SMS, you can:
  Send tweets via SMS or MMS
  Receive tweets + direct messages via SMS
  Receive direct messages via SMS


   

    Sign up for a new account using SMS:
  • SMS “START” to 53000. You will receive a signup message in reply.
  • SMS “SIGNUP” to 53000. Twitter will ask you to select your username.
  • Reply with your unique (less than 15 characters) username.
  • Choose a password on receiving confirmation of your username.
  • You’re all set to start posting your first tweet via SMS!

  • To set up your web profile, go to “Already using Twitter on your phone?” on www.twitter.com.
 



   
    Add your phone to your Twitter account:
  • SMS “START” to 53000. Twitter will ask for your username.
  • Send your username. Twitter will ask for your password.
  • Reply with your unique (less than 15 characters) username.
  • Send your password (remember: passwords are case sensitive!).
  • Send “OK” to use Twitter on your phone.


To post Tweets:

SMS your tweet to 53000 and it’ll get posted immediately on your Twitter account.

To follow via SMS:
YOU ARE USING TWITTER AND YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN YOUR PASSWORD
THEN FOLLOW THE BELOW STEPS:


1) Go to the Twitter Web Site:
2) Click on Signin
3) Click the area that says "already using twitter on your phone" near the Login box.
4) Enter you mobile no. once entered click on send confirmation code. Now the confirmation code will be sent to your mobile.
5) Enter the confirmation code in the given text box.
6) Once confirmed, web site will take you to next page to enter the new password.
7) Start re-using twitter through mobile.

To unfollow via SMS:
1.Turn off updates by SMSing “LEAVE username” or "OFF username" to 53000. For e.g., to stop following @Oprah, send LEAVE Oprah or OFF Oprah.
2.This only stops receiving tweets via SMS. The removed account can still send you a direct message. To completely remove an account from your following list, log onto your web profile on www.twitter.com and remove.
